The standard line is “don’t work with children or animals, right? Well, I’ve worked with both and I firmly disagree with that statement! I’ve been lucky enough recently to work with a brilliant organisation called City Paws Club – an outdoor activity centre for dogs and I smile from ear to ear the entire time I’m there.
Being able to capture the incredible personalities of these dogs is such a pleasure, to see the bond between them and their owners and they fun they are all having together is just awesome. These guys are really serious about keeping dogs in prime health and having a great time doing it. It teaches the dogs and their owners plenty of new skills, as you can see from some of my photos below.
There’s lots of things to think about when taking photos of moving objects / fluffy creatures, especially when there’s wagging tails and floppy tongues to contend with but there’s also something very special about how their characters come through in the images – This is a monthly booking I always look forward to for sure!
